Preliminary Task created by Georgia and Luke
WWW: With my task I followed the 180 degree rule, which is making sure that the space between me and Luke never changed position. It is essential that we follow this rule of making sure the people/objects haven't changed positions as this will leave the audience wondering, and questioning why they are now different to what they have viewed before. Furthermore, we used match on action when Luke is seen walking through the door and opening in and then walking into the room from a different view on the other side being cut this way to make it look like we didnt do at different times. We have also used a different variety of shots, one of them being an establishing shot, to show who and where all the shots are being filmed also who is involved. I have also used an eyeline shot/over the shoulder shot from my point of view, this is so that the audience can experience what I can see when this was being filmed. This also makes the audience feel more engaged because it feels like they are in my eyes.
EBI: To improve our task I think we should of re-shot the little part of the video when one of us come out of role, as this doesn't make the task seem as real. Next time i would also like to cut shots down more because i think some of them are too short and loads of time thats included in this is not needed, this can sometimes make the audience feel bored as the shot may drag on for a bit longer than it should. I also think some of the framing we used could of been improved as most of the time the person is just standing in the middle of the camera, but i would prefer them to be standing to the side. These are all things that I am going to consider when shooting my next piece.
